Coming to Indigo Thrive from Casper
It’s a proper road trip — around three and a half hours from Casper, about three from Riverton — and worth planning around. Here’s how to make it count.
The drive
From Casper: US-20/26 west to Shoshoni, then US-20 north through the Wind River Canyon to Thermopolis and Worland, on through Greybull, and up to Powell. Around 215 miles, about 3½ hours, and one of the better drives in the state.
From Riverton or Lander: pick up US-20 at Shoshoni and follow the same route north. About three hours from Riverton.
Worth the drive for
- Aura photography. Sit down, rest your hands on the sensors, and leave with a printed photo of yourself surrounded by color. As far as we know it’s the only aura camera between Casper and Billings. What to expect →
- A real crystal and tarot selection. Tumbled stones, spheres and raw pieces you can hold before you choose, plus tarot and oracle decks for first-timers and long-time readers alike. What we carry →
- Goods from 35+ small makers. Teas, syrups, body products, jewelry, journals, decor — a lot of it made here in Wyoming, and hard to find anywhere else.
- Help without the hard sell. Emily knows what’s on the shelves. Ask, or just browse.
Make a weekend of it
Thermopolis and its hot springs are on the route, Cody is 25 minutes past Powell, and Yellowstone’s east entrance is an hour beyond that. If Powell is a stop on a bigger trip, text us your ETA and we’ll make sure aura photography is ready and anything you want is held.
And if you can’t make the drive: call or text and ask. Emily is happy to describe what’s in stock.
Before you come
The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM. If you’re after something specific, call or text ahead and we’ll set it aside, and let us know if you’d like aura photography so it’s ready when you arrive. Street parking is on North Absaroka.
